BOOK WEEK Dress Up Day

On Monday 24th of August we have our Book Week Dress Up Day. Students are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite book character OR dressed in something that goes with this year's theme “Symphony of Stories”. We encourage families to be sustainable (both on the environment and budgets) and reuse/repurpose outfits. There is no cost to dress up and we look forward to seeing students and staff as their favourite book character.

Scholastic Book Club Brochures

This week everyone should receive a Scholastic Book Club brochure from their classroom teacher. If you don’t receive yours there will be spares available from the library or you can go online to view Issue 5 at https://scholastic.com.au/book-club/book-club-parents/issue-preview/

Orders are due by Tuesday 4th August. If you try to put through a late order once the school has closed the orders you will be given the option to pay postage and have it sent directly to your home address.

Place an order online through LOOP from Issue 5 and get a $10 bonus instant saving coupon from Spotlight (when you spend $30 on craft, party or sew in one transaction). This would be great to help out towards your Book Week costumes.

If you are using the LOOP app, you will need to make sure that you have upgraded to the latest version. If you choose the LOOP option (explained on the order form) you order your child’s individual items and pay for them. No paperwork needs to be sent to the school. Your order will be received with the school’s orders and will be delivered to your child’s classroom along with the orders of the other students. This is the only way to pay by credit card.

Cash orders are sent to the school. No orders are to go to the library or classroom teachers – they are to go directly to the office.  Please ensure that these orders have name and class on the order form and envelope. If you want orders as gifts just put your name and a phone number on the order form and mark it as a gift. We will contact you when they arrive at school and hold them at the office for you to collect. We do earn points for every purchase made which are used for new library books so we really appreciate your support.
