100 Days of School

This week, our Prep students reached a very special milestone as they celebrated 100 Days of School. It was wonderful to see the excitement, pride and enthusiasm throughout the day as our youngest learners reflected on everything they have achieved since beginning their school journey.

Many students embraced the occasion by dressing up as though they were 100 years old.  The classrooms were filled with engaging activities centred around counting, creating, problem-solving and celebrating learning, all with a "100 days" theme.

While the day was full of fun, it also marked an important moment to recognise just how much our Prep students have grown. Over the past 100 days, they have developed new friendships, built confidence, strengthened their literacy and numeracy skills, and embraced the routines and values of school life.

Amy's Back!

After a period of family leave, it has been a pleasure to return to school and reconnect with our students, staff and families. I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the warm welcome I have received. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and sense of community that make our school such a special place.

One of the highlights of my return has been visiting classrooms and seeing the outstanding teaching and learning taking place across the school. I have been incredibly impressed by the high levels of student engagement, the positive learning environments and the dedication of our staff in providing rich and meaningful learning experiences every day. It has been a joy to see students demonstrating curiosity, resilience and a genuine love of learning.

Assembly Tomorrow - 2:45 in the Stadium

Tomorrow's whole-school assembly will have a special focus on the importance of regular school attendance. Every day at school provides valuable opportunities for students to learn, build friendships, develop routines and participate in the rich experiences that contribute to their overall growth and wellbeing.

Research consistently shows that regular attendance has a significant impact on academic achievement, confidence and long-term success. Missing even a small amount of school can make it more challenging for students to keep up with their learning and maintain strong connections with their classmates.

At tomorrow's assembly, we will celebrate the positive attendance habits of our students and reinforce the message that every day counts. We know that there are times when children need to be absent due to illness or exceptional circumstances, and we appreciate the support of our families in ensuring that, whenever possible, students attend school every day and arrive on time.

By working together, we can help every child make the most of the learning opportunities available to them and support them to achieve their very best.
