Social Media Age Restrictions

From 10 December 2025, many social media platforms will be required to prevent Australians under 16 from creating or maintaining accounts on certain age-restricted services. The changes aim to protect children from pressures and risks they can be exposed to while logged in to social media accounts.

The eSafety Commissioner is leading the implementation of the law. They are responsible for identifying platforms and supporting the community with information and resources.

Under-16s will still be able to see publicly available social media content that doesn’t require logging into an account. There are no penalties for young people who use age-restricted platforms or for their parents and carers as the responsibility is with the platforms.

Swimming Carnival

We are thrilled to celebrate the amazing achievements of our students and staff following a fantastic swimming carnival! The day was filled with fun, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of all participants.

From novelty events to seasoned swimmers, every student gave their best in the pool. A huge congratulations to all the swimmers who demonstrated determination and courage, making the event truly memorable.

Thank you to the dedicated staff, led by Mrs Partridge, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the carnival ran smoothly and safely. Your commitment and support made the day possible and enjoyable for everyone.

Hot Weather

As the warmer weather arrives, it’s important to keep our children safe and comfortable while they enjoy their time at school. On hot days, please remember to send your child with a hat and a water bottle every day.

Wearing a hat helps protect our children from harmful UV rays when they play outside during lunchtime and recess. It’s an important part of staying sun safe and preventing sunburn.

Keeping hydrated is essential, especially in the heat. Having a water bottle on hand means your child can drink water regularly throughout the day and stay cool and refreshed.

Make sure your child’s hat is labelled, and their water bottle is filled each morning. Together, we can help keep our kids healthy and happy all day long.
