2023 Careers Scholarship update

 

Victoria University have confirmed that the two 2023 Year 12 students have been offered (and have accepted) the 2024 Ignite Scholarship valued at $2,000 in their first year of study, paid in two half yearly instalments. One student was the 2023 Year 11 Recipient for the $500 Ignite Grant.

 

Two 2023 Year 12 students were offered a Narrm Scholarship which provides a living allowance of $6,500 per year of undergraduate study, up to four years.  

 

Melton Secondary College was successful in nominating two Year 12 students for the prestigious Mary Jane Lewis scholarship & the Dafydd Lewis Scholarship to the value of $30,000 each over 3 years to support them with their tertiary studies.

 

A Year 8 student was awarded the Harding Miller Foundations Scholarship for Girls, which provides a high-quality laptop in the first year as well as four years of online IT support, high-speed internet, $2,500 worth of online or face to face tutoring, online homework help, prepaid expense cards for essential school needs such as uniforms, textbooks, and school excursions.

 

The Careers Team were also very successful in securing $26,900 of The Western Chances Scholarship finds last year.  A total of 28 scholarship recipients have again been renewed for this year following a lengthy renewal application process. The success of receiving a scholarship from Western Chances is based upon academic excellence, Leadership & talents, excellent attendance and have a current Health Care Card.
