NEWS ADMINISTRATION
Mrs Caroline Galea
Thank you to all the parents who gave me a warm welcome upon my return. I had an amazing time during the Principal pilgrimage. I experienced and learnt a lot. Following that, my husband and I had a wonderful holiday and I came back rested which I didn't realise that I needed up until that point.
I hope that everyone enjoyed the production last week. Thank you to all the parents that took the time to express how much they enjoyed the evening. A big community effort goes into such an event so it is satisfying to hear that it was well received. Thank you to the concert committee that gave up a lot of their own time to co ordinate the event and to Derryn for overseeing things while I was gone. I would also like to congratulate the school community for just being present and supporting us.
A few families have been asking when Leanne returns. Leanne will return to work next week after the Melbourne Cup Weekend.
Orientation Day
Our first Prep Orientation took place this morning and it was wonderful to see our future preps. While there were some initial tears, the children settled in very quickly and ejoyed their morning. Meanwhile the parents stayed for a talk and a morning tea. We look forward to seeing the children again in their second orientation next week.
SCHOOL CLOSURE
Just a reminder that next week the children have both Monday and Tuesday off from school. While Tuesday is a public holiday, Monday is a day given back to Staff as Time in Lieu (this is to make up for the time that they have given up for things like parents teacher interview evenings and the production).
SCHOOL FEES
Please ensure all school fees are paid by 27th November. Thank you to all of the families that have already paid their fees.
School Advisory Council and Parents and Friends for 2025
We are currently looking for parents to join the School Advisory Council (SAC) or P&F. Thank you to those who have nominated to join either group.
The P&F are looking for new members on their committee. Their role is to assist the school in raising funds and building community spirit through events. This team meets online usually once a month. Nominations may be emailed to dling@hnpe.catholic.edu.au or cgalea@hnpe.catholic.edu.au
We are also looking for a new member on our SAC board.
(Please seek a nomination form from Derryn)
