Prep students  have been learning about Community Helpers. We have enjoyed a visit from Paramedic Mitch and Police Officer Shane. Students enjoyed both opportunities and have taken away a lot of valuable learning.

This term the Grade 5/6 students have been reading the text - Us Mob Walawurru.

The story follows the life of Ruby, a young Luritja girl growing up in Central Australia in the 1960s. Living on a cattle station, Ruby is faced with many situations and dilemmas resulting from cultural difference education, language, family obligation, relationship to country and environment, and ideas of ownership. 

Us Mob Walawurru is a work of historical fiction and inter-cultural exploration. Some of the events are based on stories told by the Luritja people of Titjikala in Central Australia. Some historical events are also included. 

Campaspe Netball

Today our grade 5/6 students attend Campaspe Netball Tournament at EDNA courts.

Pink team came drew second. Overall the students participated really well, the teachers very proud their effort and sportsmanship
