SSV GWR Cross Country
On Tuesday 26th May BHS took 37 students on the annual trip to Warrnambool for the SSV Greater Western Region Cross Country at Reid/Mack Oval. The early weather forecast was looking pretty grim only for the weather gods to bless the event with mostly overcast conditions with minimal wind. The course provided a challenge with some decent hills combined with on and off path racing. The top 10 students of each age group qualify though to the SSV State Cross Country Championships. All students who attended displayed enormous pride in running for the school and it was great to see plenty of BHS light blue out on course.
Congratulations to the following students who have all qualified through to the SSV State Cross Country Champions at the Yara Valley Racecourse on Tuesday 24th July:

BAS Championships
BAS Badminton Singles Championships
On Friday 29th May BHS entered 3 students into the BAS Badminton Singles Championships. This tournament brings the best school-based badminton players together for a single player only championship. This event gives all players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a solo effort. Students are selected into pools and fight their way through multiple opponents to qualify for the final’s series. Students play for Brehaut Family Boys Single Championship and the Lemonade & Trophy Shoppe Girls Single Championship.
Tremendous results coming from the girls section with an all-BHS Grand Final! The Grand Final was a very close affair with Alex Gladman taking the victory in the best of 3 set series against her fellow school mate.
Well done Alex!
