COHR Library - "I Can Go Anywhere In A Book!"

PRC - Premier's Reading Challenge 2025

Only a few months in and around Victoria, already more than 5000 young readers have completed the Premiers’ Reading Challenge. We’re so proud that more than 600 schools, early childhood services and families have already signed up and read more than 519,000 books!   At COHR, we have read a total of 627 books so far!!

All students have received their log in details for the 2025 Challenge.  Their username consists of their name with 3 numbers and then their passcode is about 6 numbers.  If you have any issues logging in or you misplace the details, please just email me and I can send to you.

For now, keep reading and adding books to their online account.  We have until September.

I will verify books that have been added every few weeks.

We have ONE STUDENT who has already completed the challenge - WOW!

National Simultaneous Storytime - NSS   Wednesday 21st May

'The Truck Cat' by Deborah Frenkel & Danny Snell was enjoyed by all students last week.

We joined in the reading of this book with 2,204,658 participants from around 16,632 different locations in Australia.

Library Club is held on Tuesdays at lunchtime.

Students that come to Library Club, enjoy our wonderful Library space to read, colour in or talk with others about books or characters and play with our book buddies (soft character toys)!

Overdues - we have a small number of students who keep forgetting their books and these are dated back to April.  Could we ask parents to remind your child/ren to look them out and bring them back please.

Spare Library Bags - we have a supply or actually we had a supply.  Can we check in school bags, under beds, on home bookshelves or the car for any of them and return them please.  Thank You

Mrs Karen Wakeling.
