Student Leadership Report

School Captain's Report

Good Afternoon NPS families!

What a term it has been so far. Here is the last newsletter item from us for term 1.

We would now like to share some information about what we have been doing at NPS lately.

The preps have been learning how to sound out words, and learning their ABC's as well as making a stunning gratitude garden. And counting to one hundred!

The juniors have been enjoying learning addition and writing about stories they have been reading during literacy.

The middles have been focusing on writing a story about a mythical creature that they created. Also, they have been learning multiplication in math and different strategies such as vertical addition. Lastly, they have been making a car in integrated studies which they will design and 3D print!

The seniors have been creating mystery novels in writing. Also, they have been answering questions and making predictions to stories. They have also handed in their bike education homework tasks.

On Wednesday, we had an early start to the day leaving at 8:00 am to attend a leadership conference in Melbourne with Mr Barclay. This was a great experience having heard experienced leaders talking about their stories and what makes a good leader to them.

They also spoke about how they have all helped young students, with or without a badge, We had a great time interacting with students from all around Melbourne and spent our break time with 4 fantastic students and captains from Lara Lake Primary School.

Sincerely,

The school captains
