from the Assistant Principal  

3-6 Public Speaking Finals Wednesday 9 September

Tomorrow, we will have the privilege of listening to the speeches of our Years 3-6 finalists from each year group as they compete in the Public Speaking Finals. A warm welcome is extended to families to come along at 9:30 am in the hall to support the culmination of work from our primary students. We are delighted to welcome a guest adjudicator who will determine and announce a Year Level Winner for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6, as well as one Junior Public Speaking Champion and one Senior Public Speaking Champion for 2026.

While we look forward to celebrating our finalists and winners, we also want to acknowledge every student who has participated in this experience. Developing the confidence to speak in front of others is a valuable lifelong skill, and every time a student stands up, takes a breath and shares their ideas, they are building confidence, resilience and communication skills.

Legacy Colouring Competition

Well done to all students who submitted entries into the Legacy Poster Colouring Competition this term.  They had over 700 entries across 15 schools.

Brain Olympia

This year, 32 students from Holy Trinity School participated in the Inverell Cluster Heat of Brain Olympia. Brain Olympia is an academic competition that has been running for over 20 years, bringing together schools across the Diocese to compete in various categories. These include: General Knowledge, English, Science, History, Drama, and Public Speaking. One of our 4 Holy Trinity teams came equal first with Glen Innes and will now progress to the Diocesan Finals, which will be held in Tamworth on 15 September 2026. Congratulations to all of the students who represented Holy Trinity.
