Student Achievements
Congratulations to our Year 9s who raised over $500 for St Vincent de Paul's Housing & Homelessness program with their Pop Up Op Shop at Bentleigh East Campus. Collecting donations of books, sport equipment, clothes - plus freshly baked brownies and cookies - the boys created stalls with well-priced items for students and staff to buy. All proceeds go directly to Vinnies, along with any unsold items. Many thanks to all who donated, bought, baked and sold to help make a difference to those in great need!
Congratulations to our ACC Mixed Netball Grand Finalists, Pav, Liam, Harland, Harrison, Sam, Jensen, Heath, Hudson, Hames and Tyson (Year 10). Our Division 2 team emerged victorious against Mater Christi / St Joseph's 18-10, and our Division 1 team
took 5th place. We're so proud of how our students work together with their teammates at Kilbreda College with great energy, respect and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to Team Vitality, who has qualified for 2026 State Finals of STEM Racing this October. Luca (Year 8), Ren, Larry, Samuel (Year 9) and Aaron (Year 11) are competing in the Professional Class - the highest level within the competition. This is a great achievement for each of the team members, with Aaron, Larry and Ren marking their 3rd State Finals (plus a National Final each), Sam's 2nd State Final (and a National Final) and Luca's 2nd State Final.
"We were all very exited and are honoured to be able to represent the College at a state level. Our goal for the State Finals is to win in our competition class and progress straight through to the National Finals, which we believe we can do because of our experience and commitment to the competition."
Congratulations to Phoenix (Year 9) who has been selected to compete overseas this year in the prestigious Yamaha BLU CRU Asia Cup. This international competition brings together some of the most promising young riders from across the region, Phoenix is incredibly honoured to represent our community on this stage. Being selected is a significant milestone in Phoenix’s motorsport journey and places him among the top young competitors in the Asia-Pacific region. Should you wish to support Phoenix in this competition, donations are welcomed here.
Dan (Year 10) was fortunate to be invited to participate in some cricket during the British summer, playing in Essex for Westcliff Cricket Club.
"I enjoyed it thoroughly and topped off the trip with a 104 not out with the bat. The trip was fun, and I got to meet new people. I got the opportunity through a family mate who plays at Westcliff and set me up to stay over there with a family."
Dan has been playing cricket since he was just 7 years old and has been a proud ACC Cricket Team Member for the College since Year 7, and also plays for Hampton Cricket Club.
