The Secondary students and staff had a very early start to their Thursday last week, heading off to the Fever Netball Cup in Northam. MDHS took three teams to participate and it was a fantastic competition. Thank you to Miss de Lacy, Mr Smith, Mrs Nixon, Jess Collins, Dylan Copeland and Tania Sprigg who all ensured it was a successful day.
We had our Book Fair today! It was a magical display of creativity, colour and beauty!
We appreciate all the effort families and students make to ensure the day is a little more exciting! Our Book Fair Display in the Library is a s 'Blizzard' theme and Mrs Clune has done a wonderful job ensuring there is something to choose from for everyone; from picture books, novels, diaries, posters, pens and erasers!
Our Kindy & Pre Primary Mums & Loved Ones were spoilt at a 'China Town' themed Mothers Day event on Tuesday. Well done to Mrs Lamond and her AMAZING helpers for making it such a special morning.
Our Year 1-6 students enjoyed a day out in Merredin last week, to watch the 'Magic Weedy Sea Dragon' at the Cummins theatre. After a quick recess break when we arrived, we headed in and the show began! A magical sea dragon turned the unkind boy into a puffer fish to learn how to be kind. He learnt his lesson by becoming friends with an electric eel! The MDHS students displayed exemplary active listening behaviours and thoroughly enjoyed the show. After the show concluded, we headed off to the Rec centre for lunch and a play on the playground and oval before heading home. Thank you to all of our wonderful staff for organising and attending such an engaging experience.
