Polding  Athletics 2025 - Wrap Up

Congratulations to Ryder, Andy and Dani for competing at the NSWCPS Athletics carnival in Newcastle last Friday. They all achieved outstanding personal best times and distances and were very competitive in their events.  A special mention goes out to Dani who achieved equal 3rd in Senior Girls Long Jump. Unfortunately she only just missed out on progressing to the next level on a count back as only 3 competitors can move on. A super effort Dani! You all should be very proud of your efforts, our school community certainly is!

Soccer Gala Day - Next Tuesday!

Armidale Catholic Schools Sports Gala Day  for years 3-6 students. 

Soccer  - Tamworth  Tuesday 23rd September 2025 

We have 3 teams signed up and ready to play at the the Diocesan Soccer Gala day in Tamworth next Tuesday. Please make sure your child is at school by 7:30am to have names marked off and prepare for departure. 

Soccer Venue: Gipps St playing fields, Tamworth                  

All students will travel by bus which will leave St Joey's at 8am sharp and return in time for usual afternoon travel arrangements.                    

Catering at the venue: Canteen facilities will be available but we encourage students to bring their own food for the day.

Equipment & Uniform: 

• Students are to wear their full school sports uniform with soccer boots or joggers. 

• Students are advised to bring sunscreen and a hat to wear. 

•  Please remember to bring adequate water for the day. 

• St Joey's will provide playing jerseys - these will be handed out this week. 

• Soccer players must have shin pads. The school can provide these if you do not have them. Please let Mrs Bartholomew know if you need to borrow shin pads. 

   

Where possible, the trials will proceed as planned. If they are washed out due to inclement weather, the change will be posted on the ACS Primary Sport Facebook page.

First Aid: A trained medic from Tamworth First Aid will be at the carnival but we ask that all students carry their asthma medications in their school bag. Students will be accompanied by Mrs Bartholomew, Miss Latter, Miss Allan & Mrs Cortis.
