Last week we celebrated 70 years of St Margaret Mary’s Primary School. It was a beautiful day full of sunshine, faith and learning. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the following people:
Fr Pat for leading us in Mass on Friday and Saturday
Fr Peter and Fr Greg - former parish priests who co-concelebrated on Friday
Anne Gray - St Margaret Mary and Sacred Heart expert and National Coordinator of the Worldwide Prayer Network
Dr Marjorie O’Neill - MP Member for Coogee
Hon Matt Thistlethwaite - Federal Member for Kingsford Smith
Councillor Clare Willington - Mayor of Randwick
Peter Watkins - Sydney Catholic Schools Manager
Peter and Jennifer Gooden - members of the first class of STMM, were married at STMM and their children attended STMM
Paul Bourke - musician
Patrice Johnson - connecting our school with many past teachers, students and families

Last week, our Year 4 and Year 5 students walked to OLSH Church in Randwick for a deeply special excursion focused on St Carlo Acutis.
During the visit, students had the unique opportunity to venerate a 1st class relic of St Carlo and write their own personal prayers of intercession. They were privileged to hear an inspiring presentation by Karen Hobbs, an expert on Carlo’s life and legacy, before exploring an exhibition highlighting his journey to sainthood and the Eucharistic miracles he documented. It was a memorable and prayerful day of faith, learning, and reflection for our students.

If any parents have completed the vinnies breaky van training or are interested in completing the training and would like to volunteer, please get in touch with Lucille Gravina. Mrs Gravina regularly takes parents from the Sacred Heart Parish to serve breakfast to those in need.

This year the Sacred Heart Parish Randwick Christmas Carols will be on Sunday the 6th of December. If your child is interested in participating in being part of this choir, please send me an email expressing their interest.
