From the Assistant Principal

Amelia Busuttil

As we settle into the term, it has been a pleasure to see students embracing new learning opportunities, building positive relationships, and approaching each day with confidence and enthusiasm.  We have welcomed our international students, had incursions, Maths challenges, Beach Patrol and our Year Six students beginning their PYPX exploration.

Celebrating 100 Days in Foundation:

Congratulations to our Foundation students who have completed 100 days of school! They had lots of fun today dressing as centenarians or things beginning with F.

Here are some highlights from their day:

Fergus- I loved making our fruit loop necklaces with 100 pieces as we got to eat them.

Leo- I liked making 100 days smarter crowns with our buddies.

Riley- I wrote about being 100 years old and how I’d watch the news.

Mrs Youngs- I loved watching all the children sharing a special party lunch to celebrate our 100th day of school.

Below are some of our Foundation students favourite things over their first 100 days:

Paddy likes when we go to STEM.

Natalie says her favourite thing at school is learning stuff.

George says his favourite thing at school is the readers.

Skyler loves to go to PE.

Jayda loves buddies and going to the library.

Year 5 Camp at The Ranch:

I had the pleasure of spending the day at The Ranch with our Year 5 students, family volunteers and school & camp staff. It is always a highlight to visit camp and see our students embracing new challenges, stepping outside their comfort zones, and creating lasting memories with their friends. Watching students soar through the air on the flying fox and race down the hills on mountain boards was certainly a highlight of the day!

I am continually proud of the way our students demonstrate kindness, resilience and respect—not only towards one another, but also to the camp staff and the facilities. They have been wonderful representatives for our school, and I know their camp experience will be remembered for years to come.
