Health Centre News

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful break. As we head into the early weeks of term, I’d like to share a few important reminders to help ensure all students stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
☀️ Don’t Forget to be SunSmart
To help protect your child from during the warmer months when the UV levels are high, please ensure:
- Your child arrives at school with sunscreen already applied each morning.
- You pack a labelled sunscreen in their bag so they can reapply during the day, especially before outdoor activities.
- Your child packs their school hat to protect them when outdoors. If your child does not have a hat, they will be asked to play in a designated shaded area.
Even on cloudy days, UV levels can be high—sun protection helps keep everyone safe.
💊 Medication at School
If your child requires medication at school, whether regularly or occasionally, please bring it to the Health Centre as soon as possible, if you have not already done so. This includes Ventolin which may be required if your child has asthma.
Please ensure all medications:
- Are in-date
- Come in the original packaging
- Are clearly labelled with your child’s name
- Are accompanied by any required action plans or medical forms
Having the correct medication onsite allows us to respond quickly and safely if your child needs support.
Thank You for Your Support
We truly appreciate your help in keeping our students healthy and prepared. If you have any questions, updates to medical plans, or need help with forms, please feel free to contact me or come and see me to discuss.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy start to Term 1 😊
Warm regards,
Nurse Cecile
