About State Schools’ Relief

State Schools’ Relief (SSR) has been working with Victorian government primary, secondary, specialist and language schools for over 95 years to ensure that students facing financial hardship have the items they need for their daily learning. 

SSR supports with essential material relief such as uniforms, shoes, laptops, calculators, eyesight testing and more - creating positive change in students’ lives, building self-worth, enhancing engagement, and improving educational outcomes. 

In 2024-2025, SSR received over 96,000 applications for support from Victorian schools.

All welfare applications to State Schools’ Relief must be submitted by the student’s school, on behalf of the student.
