Mrs Emily Whitney
Week 10 has arrived, and with the end of the school year upon us, the library is buzzing with readers enjoying these final days. Students are diving into new stories, revisiting old favourites, and making the most of the time before the holidays begin.
Even though borrowing has now finished for the year, the library is still open at lunch for students to browse, relax, and enjoy the space. As we reach the year’s finish, we encourage everyone to discover something special to read and continue enjoying books throughout the summer break.
The Premier’s Reading Challenge has wrapped up for 2025. This year saw remarkable participation across NSW, with students reading millions of books and celebrating a fantastic year of literacy. Last week, students received their certificates of completion.
From the PRC team: “Thank you for a wonderful year of reading!”
We look forward to the launch of the 2026 Challenge on Monday, 23 February 2026.
Thank you to everyone who has been returning overdue books. If any students still have outstanding items, please return them as soon as possible.
If you are unable to locate a book, please contact me at: ewhitney@arm.catholic.edu.au
Your help in keeping our library collection complete is greatly appreciated!
As we conclude the year and look ahead to the holidays, we encourage all students to keep reading over the summer. Whether it’s a favourite series, a new adventure, or a book shared with family, reading during the break helps keep minds active, imaginations bright, and reading skills strong.
Wishing all our students and families a Merry Christmas and a joyful, safe New Year filled with rest, celebration, and plenty of wonderful books.
I look forward to seeing all our current students and welcoming new faces when we return in 2026.
