Gary McSweeny Cup & Rugby Union Trials

Congratulations to our representatives who attended the Gary McSweeny Memorial Cup and Rugby Union trials. This special day is held each year during Catholic Schools Week but was unfortunatley postponed due to wet weather. Held instead on Friday 5th June, nine St Philomena's students took to the fields and battled against other schools. The team came away with two loses and a victory, but fought hard with no reserves. 

Tom Makim showed his talents earning himself a spot in the Diocesan Rugby Team. Congratulations Tom and the rest of the team (Brodie, Andy, Ted, Darby, Lincoln, George, Rory, Ed and honourable Moree member,
