PRAYER

The Catholic Church dedicates the month of November to praying for the souls of all those who have died. This devotion is inspired by the feasts of All Saints' Day on November 1 and All Souls' Day on November 2.  The month serves as a time to remember and honor the departed, including family members, friends, and all the faithful who have passed away.

The Eternal Rest Prayer is a plea for God to show mercy to the departed and allow them eternal life.  Families may like to spend time during November praying this prayer for the souls of their departed family and friends.

Eternal Rest Prayer

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, 

and let the perpetual light 

shine upon them.  

May their souls and the souls 

of all the faithful departed, 

through the mercy of God, 

rest in peace. 

Amen.

COMMUNITY MASS THANKS

Last Saturday we celebrated our final Community Mass for the year.  As our November Mass clashes with the Parish Fair, it has been postponed for this year.  I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the parents on our Liturgy Committee and have worked tirelessly throughout the year planning and preparing for the many aspects of a Community Mass, including setting up the space and providing music for each Mass.
