Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,

Deer Park Sunshine Ignite Leaders Conference

Today I was delighted to attend the Deer Park–Sunshine Network’s inaugural Ignite Aspiring Leaders forum alongside Mr Hoyer, Mr Harrison, Mrs Veteha and Mrs Galea. These staff members were selected in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and growing leadership aspirations, as well as their significant contributions to our school community. The day commenced with an inspiring address from the Minister for Education, Ben Carroll, and our Area Director, Charles Branciforte. Our aspiring leaders then engaged in a series of workshops led by Dr William De Jean, who shared practical strategies to support emerging leaders to thrive, inspire others and confidently step into future leadership opportunities. It was a valuable and energising day of professional learning, and we look forward to seeing the impact of this experience across our school.

Planning for 2026

A reminder that if you change address you need to inform the office as soon as possible to ensure our records are up to date.  We have begun planning for 2026 so to assist us with this important process, we kindly ask families to inform the school office as soon as possible if your child will not be returning next year. This information helps us to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for your child to their new school and allows us to plan effectively for our 2026 class structures.

At the same time, we are confirming enrolments for 2026, so if you know of a family interested in enrolling for 2026, please encourage them to contact the school as soon as possible to secure a place.
