The countdown is on for our annual Cultural Week, where students take part in a range of activities, celebrating the various cultures of the world.  On Thursday 29th October students from Prep to Year 3 will participate in Discos during the school day and our Year 4s, 5s and 6s are invited to an evening Disco at school from 6:30 - 8:00.

On Friday 30th October, we ask students to come dressed in something that represents their cultural heritage. The image below is from a previous year’s Parade and may give families some outfit ideas.  Weather permitting parents are invited to join us in the undercover area for the Parade of Nations at 9:15am.  If the weather is inclement the students will do the parade from the hall and we will live stream the event for parents.

YEAR 5 & 6 CAMP

Our Year 5 & 6 Camp will take place over two days, on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November.  This year the students will be participating in an Adventure Camp, where they will have the opportunity to experience a range of outdoor activities.  St John’s students have attended this camp in previous years and it has always been a fantastic experience for the students.  Parents received a notification on Tuesday 8th September with a Video attachment.  This Video outlined the camp itinerary and discussed items students will need to pack.  A reminder to parents of students in Year 5 & 6, that Friday 6th November is a NO SCHOOL day for the students, to allow the school to provide the staff who attended the overnight camp, their required day in Lieu.

BUNNINGS BBQ SATURDAY 21st NOVEMBER

The Parents and Friends Committee will be running a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 21st November and we need your help to make it a success.  This is a great opportunity to raise funds for our school and bring the community together but we can't do it without parent volunteers.  Whether you can spare an hour or a few every bit counts.  Let's fire up the BBQ and make this a fantastic fundraiser!  If you're able to lend a hand, please get in touch with the committee at:
