Eltham High School Volleyball Teams Shine in State Championships

Eltham High School has had a series of outstanding achievements with our volleyball teams in this year’s state championships. Our athletes have demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, bringing home an impressive array of accolades that highlight the strength of our Volleyball Program.

 

State Champions

We are proud to announce that three of our teams have claimed the coveted title of School Sports Victoria State Champions 2024. Their hard work and dedication throughout the season culminated in this remarkable achievement. Congratulations to the following teams for their incredible performances:

  • Year 7 Boys Volleyball Team
  • Year 8 Boys Volleyball Team
  • Intermediate Girls Volleyball Team

These teams showcased not only their athletic prowess but also their sportsmanship and commitment to excellence. Their victories are a testament to the countless hours of practice, the guidance of our dedicated coaches, and the support from our school community.

 

Runners-Up Recognition 

In addition to our champions, we also celebrate the success of three teams that finished as runners-up in their respective divisions. Their journey to the finals was filled with thrilling matches and moments of brilliance. Congratulations to:

  • Senior Boys Volleyball Team
  • Year 8 Girls Volleyball Team
  • Intermediate Boys Volleyball Team

These teams fought valiantly and displayed remarkable resilience, making us all proud of their accomplishments.

 

Semi-Finalists

We also want to recognize the two teams that made it to the semi-finals, showcasing their talent and determination throughout the tournament. A big round of applause for:

  • Senior Girls Volleyball Team
  • Year 7 Girls Volleyball Team

Reaching the semi-finals is no small feat, and their hard work has laid a strong foundation for future success.

 

A Community Effort 

The success of our volleyball teams is a reflection of the entire Eltham High School community. From our dedicated coaches and supportive parents to our enthusiastic student body, everyone has played a vital role in fostering an environment where our athletes can thrive.

 

As we celebrate these achievements, we look forward to building on this success in the upcoming Victorian Junior Open and Australian Volleyball Schools Cup competitions.

 

We encourage all students to consider joining our volleyball program and experience the camaraderie and excitement that comes with being part of a team. Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to seeing which teams can add to the schools overall record of 81 state titles.
