Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s,
Our school year has commenced most positively and I am delighted to report that the children are settling into their new classes and routines in a positive and happy way. I want to extend my thanks to the many parents who took the opportunity to attend our ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions held last week. These sessions provided an excellent opportunity for parents and teachers to commence the important communication that is vital for the learning success of our students.
Opening of the School Year Mass - Thursday 22nd February Commencing 11.30am
Our Opening Mass will be celebrated by Father Shymon this Thursday. All parents, carers and grandparents are warmly welcome to attend. The Mass has been lovingly prepared by Year 5/6.
Kaboom Sports Afternoon - Thursday 22nd February 2024 postponed due to predicted hot and stormy weather. New date announced soon.
This Week’s Assembly
I would like to thank Year 3/4 V and Mrs Van Der Peet for showcasing their learning at assembly this week. I was very proud and excited to see our students confidently share a sample of the learning they have done so far this year.
Congratulations to the following leadership groups who were presented with their badges:
SRC/Student Voice Group SJAT Social Justice Action Team
We are very proud of all of these students and of the contributions we know they will make to our school and to our wider community.
Congratulations also to Amelia B, Toby B, Catherine B and Parker S, our School and Vice Captains who so capably and confidently led our assembly again this week.
Class Representatives
Our sincere thanks to the people who have volunteered to be class reps. for each of our eleven classes. I believe all positions have now been filled. If you have taken on this role, please speak to me when you drop off or collect your child/children from school and I will give you a Class Rep. information folder to assist you in your role. Your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated.
Have a great week everyone.
Sue
