School Savings Bonus (SSB) Program Update

The SSB program officially closed on June 30th, and balances have now been confirmed to the school. Any unused funds will rollover for use in future years if not fully spent in 2025. 

Families with more than one child at the same school can combine their SSB balances to use on one child or for a specific activity, such as a camp. 

Please note that the School Savings Bonus cannot be combined across different schools, nor can it be transferred between government and non-government schools.

Transferring Funds

Unused SSB funds will follow students transferring between government schools. Nominal amounts will be transferred at the schools discretion.

If a student leaves the government school system, any remaining balance may be transferred to a sibling at the same school. If there is no sibling, the funds will be retained by the school to support other students with educational costs.
