Project Compassion

Project Compassion Boxes

During Lent, we try to think of others, especially those less fortunate. Project Compassion is a wonderful program run by Caritas Australia, to raise funds for communities in need. Each student has received a money box for families to make donations throughout Lent. These will be collected at the end of the term. Each classroom also has a donation box to encourage students to help those in need.

We are aware of many local families doing it tough given the current circumstances so prayers for those in need and random acts of kindness that don't cost money can be just as good as a monetary contribution!

Easter Egg Guessing Competition

To continue raising valuable funds for Project Compassion, our Stage 3 Joeys Group will be running our annual Easter Egg Guessing Competition over the next few weeks. 50c per guess!

Shrove Tuesday

We celebrated Shrove Tuesday last week and enjoyed pancakes as we were reminded of the significance this day has for us in our liturgical year. A big thank you to Mrs Dewhurst for organising and our wonderful Stage 3 volunteers who assisted with serving! As we enter Lent, may this time of reflection and renewal bring us closer to God.

Ash Wednesday

Our school community gathered in prayer to mark Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. As we journey through Lent, may we take this time to reflect, grow in faith, and show kindness to others. "Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel."
