Inform and Empower
A big thank you to Marty and Carly from Infrom and Empower for delivering an engaging and informative presentation on how to keep children safe online. We sincerely appreciate the valuable insights and practical strategies shared with our community.
Thank you also to the families who attended the evening and engaged so positively throughout the presentation.
Thank you to the families who were able to attend our recent Cyber Safety information evening. For those who were unable to join us, we encourage you to watch the webinar, which covers the same topics discussed on the night.
Inform and Empower Webinar
Over the past two weeks, all classes have participated in dedicated Cyber Safety lessons as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students to be safe, responsible and respectful online. Students in the younger year levels have been learning about: Making healthy and balanced screen time choices, creating strong and secure passwords and understanding what the internet is and how it works. The older students have explored: what a digital footprint is, how their online choices shape their digital reputation and the long-term impact of sharing information online
We encourage families to use the summary below to start conversations at home. Open discussions about online safety help children build confidence and make positive choices in digital spaces.
Respectful Relationships
At St Brigid’s, student wellbeing is a top priority. One way we support this is through our Respectful Relationships program, which is part of the Victorian Curriculum from Foundation to Year 12.
Respectful Relationships focuses on creating a school culture where everyone is respected, valued, and treated equally. By teaching positive attitudes and behaviours in the classrooms, and modelling them across the school community, we help students develop skills that promote respect and equality in everyday life.
If you have any questions about our program, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
With thanks
