Smash Cricket School Carnival
Last Wednesday, a group of enthusiastic Year 5 and 6 students represented Lockleys North at the SMASH Cricket Carnival held at Victoria Park. Competing against other schools, the students enjoyed a fantastic day of cricket and friendly competition.
The carnival saw students take part in four games throughout the day, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play. It was also a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with others in the wider school community.
The carnival featured 4 fast paced games designed to ensure everyone was involved. Students had plenty of opportunities to bat, bowl and field, with exciting elements such as double runs and varied deliveries keeping the energy and enthusiasm high.
A sincere thank you to our parent volunteers who supported the students on the day, your support and assistance was greatly appreciated.
If your child is interested in continuing their involvement in cricket, South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) is offering additional after-school opportunities on Wednesdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March

Year 5/6 Cricket Team
Our Year 5/6 Cricket Team has had an outstanding start to the season, winning both of their opening matches.
The team, made up of a combination of new players and experienced club cricketers from Years 5 and 6, has come together brilliantly. Despite only playing two games together so far, the boys have already shown excellent teamwork, determination and skill.
In their first match against Grange, LNPS delivered a strong all-round performance. Grange finished their innings at 2/42, but LNPS responded confidently with the bat, finishing at 4/83 to secure a convincing win.
The second match against Nazareth College was another terrific display. Nazareth College posted 3/59, however LNPS once again rose to the challenge, scoring an impressive 5/93 to claim their second victory.
What has been most pleasing to see is the outstanding sportsmanship shown by every player. The boys have consistently encouraged one another, celebrated each other’s successes, and represented the school with pride. Their positive attitude and willingness to work as a team has been just as important as the results themselves.
Congratulations to all players on a fantastic start to the season. We look forward to seeing this talented group continue to grow and achieve great things together!
