Principal's Report:

Term 3 is usually a busy and productive term for students, as was the case this year.

Athletics Days:

Many students participated in sporting opportunities, such as the series of Athletics Days - our school House Athletics Carnival, to the Swan Hill Division Athletics Carnival, hosted at our school, to the Loddon Mallee Regional Athletics held in Bendigo yesterday, where our students achieved outstanding results. (Competition details is in the Sporting News page.)

Activities Week:

Also, this term our Activities Week offered students the chance to compete in Handball and Frisbee competitions, a Footy Trivia making macrame key rings just to name a few.  It has been a pleasure to see students taking responsibility for their learning and resilience, in trying their hardest on class assessment tasks throughout the term.  Regular school attendance is important, and I would like to thank all parents who encourage children to attend and participate in school every day.

School resumes again on Monday, 5th October:

I wish all students a happy and safe holiday. It's a good time to be with friends and family, and to make good decisions as young adults without the structures and routines of school for support.  For year 12 VCE students this holiday has a different focus.  Exams are not far away, and the holidays provide time to study and prepare.

First Term as the new Principal:

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first term as Principal of Kerang Technical High School and look forward to many more.  The Mallee is a beautiful part of Australia, full of history and life. I'm looking forward to the Kerang Annual Show in a couple of weeks.  If you see me there, please say 'hello'.

Stay safe everyone.

 Kind Regards,

Mr Klate McFarlane.
