Brooke's Message

Hello parents and Carers,
As we reach the halfway point of Term 2, it has been wonderful to see students settled, engaged and enjoying their learning programs. The term has moved quickly, and we are proud of the progress students are making across the school.
Many families may have seen the recent Age article celebrating our School Food Program and the incredible work of our Food Program Team, staff and students. Olivia and I were also invited to speak on ABC Victoria about the program and the positive impact it is having on our school community. We will continue to promote this initiative as we seek fundraising opportunities to help build a larger kitchen and dining space, ensuring all students can participate.

This week, our school is proud to host the Koorie Curriculum Cluster Showcase. This event brings together educators from across Victoria to collaborate, share ideas and celebrate best practice in teaching and learning. We look forward to sharing photos and highlights in our next newsletter.
On Saturday 16 May, we celebrated World ESP Day, recognising the outstanding work of our Education Support staff. Our ES staff play a vital role in supporting students and helping to create a safe, welcoming and positive learning environment. We hope families enjoyed our Facebook post acknowledging their contributions.
We are currently awaiting further information regarding mid-year reporting arrangements due to ongoing Industrial Relations action. We will communicate with families as soon as details are confirmed.
The middle of the term is also an important time for students to reflect on their learning goals and celebrate their progress. Every achievement, big or small, helps to build confidence, motivation and independence.
We look forward to sharing students’ progress and achievements with families during our end-of-term Student Support Group meetings.
