Sacrament of Reconciliation, Socktober & Term 4 Mass Dates
The children of Year 3, along with three other children from our Parish, are currently preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we are honoured to walk alongside them during this special time.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, often referred to as Confession or Penance, is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. It provides an opportunity for individuals to experience God’s boundless love, mercy, and forgiveness. Through this sacrament, the children will reflect on their actions, seek forgiveness for their sins, and deepen their relationship with God. It is a beautiful moment where they can feel God’s grace and healing presence in their lives.
We invite all families in our school and parish community to join us in praying for these children as they prepare for this sacrament. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide them with wisdom and courage as they grow in their understanding of God’s love. May this sacrament be a time of peace and renewal for them and their families.

This term in Religion, our students are exploring the inspiring work of Catholic Mission.
For 2025, the theme is “Missionaries of Hope: Among All Peoples,” which encourages us to listen, learn, and allow ourselves to be transformed by the mission of Christ.
This year, Catholic Mission shines a light on the people of Zambia, celebrating their unique gifts and the wisdom they share with the world. With open hearts, we are called to embrace their stories, trusting that God inspires us to respond with compassion, justice, and courageous action.
A key fundraiser for Catholic Mission is Socktober. Each class in our school has just received a sock to fill with coins over the next 2 weeks. We kindly ask families to raid their piggy banks or car consoles to help support this wonderful cause!
On the 31st October, we will come together for a special Mass to celebrate All Saints Day and Missions. After Mass, each class will collect their sock(s) filled with coins and participate in a creative activity—using their coins to form an image or word that reflects the spirit of Mission.
Together, let us support Catholic Mission’s vital work and encourage our children to live out our faith through generosity and action.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
