Dear St Michael's Families,
Welcome to our newsletter update for the next fortnight as we head into Weeks 5 and 6 of Term 4.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Luisa, Leanne and Stacey for their extraordinary work, dedication and creative vision in organising this year's Art Show. Thanks to their tireless efforts and the wonderful support of our school community, the event was a resounding success, raising over $7,000! We are incredibly grateful for the immense time and energy they poured into bringing our students' artistic talents to light and making the event such a memorable celebration for St Michael's.
Please take note of our upcoming school closures next week, as school will be closed for all students on Monday 2nd November and Tuesday 3rd November for a School Closure Day and the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 4th November for an exciting whole-school Japanese Drumming Incursion, where all of our students will have the opportunity to engage in a dynamic cultural music experience.
Looking ahead to Week 6, we will be holding our annual Remembrance Day Service on Wednesday 11th November at 10:30am to gather as a faith community and pay our respects. We will then wrap up the fortnight with our Year 1/2 Assembly on Friday 13th November starting at 3:00pm, and we warmly invite parents and families to join us in celebrating our students' learning.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in our school community.
Warm regards,
Warmest regards
Damien Murray
Principal
