Parkdale Science Fair 

We are very proud of our students Sol and Matilda for entering the Parkdale Secondary College Science Fair.

Matilda -Year 5 - Honourable Mention

The aim of Matilda’s experiment was to see if Golden Pothos cuttings grow better in plain water or with a rooting hormone gel applied. 

Matilda said, “I enjoyed showing everyone my experiment and I think it would be a good idea for others to try next year. I learnt how to present something to people when they ask questions about my presentation.”

Sol – Year 6 - Third Place!

The aim of his experiment was to test the ability of watermelon seeds and catnip, separately, in a variety of soil types and water, over period of time.

Sol said, “I enjoyed doing the experiment over time and I felt proud to present it to people. It is a good experience and I think others should do it.”
