2026 Book Week - Symphony of Stories

Tuesday’s Book Week Parade was a wonderful reminder of just how much delight and creativity can be found buried within the pages of a book. For one morning, the stories we know and love found their way off the shelves and into the spotlight, with students and staff stepping into the roles of some familiar characters. Elmer brought his usual splash of colour, Mr Men and Little Miss characters made their mark, Dr Seuss brought his wonderfully wacky world along, and even Bumblebee and Optimus Prime wandered in, doing what Transformers do best before joining in the celebrations! 

While the weather may have changed the setting, it certainly did not change the spirit of the day. Our community embraced the occasion, filling the hall with plenty of excitement and imagination.

A huge shoutout to our students, families, friends, and staff who helped to organise and bring all of our characters to life. It is because of your time and enthusiasm that days like this are possible and so special for everyone involved. Give yourselves a well-deserved round of applause!

An extra big thank you and congratulations to our wonderful crew of Year 5 students: Aria, Hamish, Margot, Isaac, Sophie, and Lachie for stepping up and running the show. They took on the responsibility with such confidence and absolutely nailed it!

It truly was a joyful celebration of books, imagination, and the wonderful places that a good story can take us.
