From Principal Steve

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our Brighton Primary Positive Behaviour Norms — being Safe, Respectful, and Resilient — we are holding a two-week focus on bathroom use for students. This includes teaching and reinforcing our expectations for this area of the school. The visual below is being explored in classrooms to identify how we demonstrate safety, respect, and resilience in the bathroom. This document is one piece in our school-wide, consistent behaviour norms. We are implementing similar visuals for other areas in the school such as the classroom, the yard, and service points (canteen, health centre, cafe).

As part of this work, we wanted to share a reminder with our community around the bathrooms and the types of bathrooms available on campus.

The bathrooms located in the gym and in the exit corridor of the Senior Building are designated for student use only.

If you, as a parent or visitor, need to use a bathroom while on campus, please use one of the following:

  • The adult/staff bathroom near the front office/reception
  • The accessible bathroom in the gym foyer, near the café

Please see the map below for exact locations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our student facilities available for the children as we support them in building safe and respectful habits around this space.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all students.

Kind regards,

Steve Meade | Principal

Riley Hall | Assistant Principal

Deb Barden | Student Wellbeing Coordinator
