The School Council meeting on Tuesday evening was engaging and productive, with robust and respectful discussion focused on achieving the best outcomes for our school and broader community.
School Council members reviewed and discussed a range of important reports and matters including:
- Third Party Advertising Policy (approved at our meeting)
- Principal’s Report (enrolments, staffing updates, camp and NAPLAN)
- Facilities Report (EV charger installation as part of a case study)
- Inclusion Report (productive meeting this week with 8 members in attendance)
- Sustainability Report (plant a tree day, community garden and E-Waste week)
- Finance Report (overview of school budget and expenditure)
- Curriculum Report (reports from all year levels and specialist areas)
Council also considered incoming correspondence regarding school uniform, with discussion centred on the needs of our students and the inclusion of a cotton piece of uniform (top).
A key focus of the meeting was planning for 2027, with School Council members reaching alignment regarding the school’s wellbeing program. The wellbeing team provided a slideshow presentation and recommendations.
There was also discussion about the allocation of fundraising funds towards identified school priorities, ensuring that expenditure continues to provide meaningful benefits for our school community. Further discussion and elaboration regarding fundraising proposals and expenditure of funds will take place at the next School Council meeting.
Overall, our meeting reflected a strong sense of collaboration, shared responsibility and commitment to continuous improvement, with Council members working together to support the ongoing success and wellbeing priorities of our school.
