Principal's Report
Term 3
Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been a busy term at Concord with a multitude of exciting events! There’s been a lot of great learning and it has been wonderful to see our students shine at school, on stage and within the community.
Presentation Ball
What a dazzling night it was at the Year 11 Presentation Ball! Our students stepped out in style, turning the event into an evening of glitz and glamour. The Centre Ivanhoe sparkled, and the air was filled with excitement as everyone arrived in their finest attire.
From the elegant dresses to the sharp suits, it was clear that our Year 11s were ready to shine. The dance floor was the place to be, with everyone showing off their best moves and enjoying the tunes that kept the night lively and fun. There were moments of laughter, great conversations, and of course, some stunning dance routines!
A huge thank you to all the parents, teachers, and staff who helped make the night so special. Your support and enthusiasm truly made a difference. And to our fabulous Year 11s - congratulations on making this such a memorable event. You looked incredible, and you really know how to throw a party!
Building Works
Our building works are in the final stages we can’t wait to open the new Upper Primary courtyard, basketball court and yarning circle soon. The landscaping is being completed, with plants being delivered on Thursday where some of our students will help with the planting. Everyone is looking forward to the completion of these works – it’s been a long process!
50+1 Celebration
Concord School’s 50+1 Celebration is drawing near! The school will be open on Saturday 19th October, between 10am – 2pm for current and past students, family, carers and staff. There will be various activities throughout the school, a time capsule from 1973 will be opened at midday and commemorative items will be available to purchase. Please keep your eye on Facebook for the most up-to-date information.
We hope to see you there!
Principal's Award - Lexi Barajas
Lexi is a caring and friendly student who consistently models the Concord School values and expectations with her positive attitude and readiness to learn. She is commended regularly for persistently trying her best in every task.
Lexi is always looking to help others within the classroom, whether it is her peers or teachers. She regularly checks in with her friends and assists them without being asked to.
This kindness is extended to anyone who enters her classroom or wishes to spend time with her during break times. Lexi also took on a supporting lead role in last week's Spectacular performance of Grease, shining on the stage. Great work Lexi.
