What’s R U OK? Day All About?
R U OK? Day is all about starting conversations and making sure everyone feels supported. It’s a chance to ask people in your life, “Are you OK?” and really listen to their answer. By doing this, we help create a community where it’s okay to talk about mental health.
Why Should We Care?
Just like we care about physical health, mental health is super important too. Sometimes, all it takes to brighten someone’s day is a simple check-in. Let’s use this day to show that we’re here for each other.
How Can We Get Involved?
Here’s how you can be a part of R U OK? Day:
- Start a Chat: Ask your friends, classmates, or teachers how they’re really doing. A simple "How’s everything going?" can make a big difference.
- Listen Up: When someone opens up, be a good listener. Your attention and understanding can really help.
- Reach Out for Help: If you’re feeling down, it’s totally okay to ask for help. Our staff are here to help.
- Join the Fun: Get involved and learn more about how you can help! Look at the R U OK? website for great activity ideas. Ask those around you “R U OK?”.
- Spread the Word: Share the R U OK? message with your family and friends. The more people who know about it, the better!
Let’s Make a Difference Together
R U OK? Day is a chance for us to show that we care about each other. One conversation can really make a difference, so let’s make it count!

Grade 6 Camp
Our Grade 6 students had an amazing camp adventure to Phillip Island.
One of the most memorable experiences was witnessing the Penguin Parade. As dusk fell, our students watched in awe as the adorable little penguins made their way up the beach to their burrows. It was a truly magical sight and a unique opportunity to see wildlife up close.
Our students also had a blast exploring A Maze’N Things, where they tackled giant mazes, solved mind-bending puzzles, and enjoyed interactive exhibits. The day was filled with laughter and excitement as everyone got lost in the fun and tested their skills in this adventure-packed park. Back at camp, the excitement continued with some thrilling activities. Students soared through the air on the flying fox, feeling the rush of the wind as they zipped along. The giant swing was another favourite, giving everyone a thrilling ride and plenty of adrenaline!
From the enchanting Penguin Parade and the adventurous day at A Maze’N Things to the adrenaline-pumping flying fox and giant swing, our Grade 6 camp at Phillip Island was an unforgettable experience. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to bond, try new things, and make lasting memories.
