Curriculum Day

It has been another few big weeks at Alvie PS, with visits from prospective 2026 Prep students, photo day, the Alvie Cross Country, a visit from the Trinity College Band, our teaching staff attending a Writing Moderation afternoon with other local schools and today we have a number of students in Yr5/6 competing in the Lightening Premiership in both football and netball. Our weeks are always jam packed at Alvie PS.

Term 2 Grade 6 Fundraiser

Dear Families,

This term the year sixes will be running a toasty fundraiser for winter that all students can enjoy.

You can bring a prepared toasty from home and we can toast it up for you in the canteen for only 50c!

Or if you want a cheese toasty made from school, we can make one for you for only $2!

This schedule below will show what days of Term 2 the students will be able to purchase a toasty.

Mondays- Miss Moore’s class prep/one’s

Tuesdays- Miss Bolton’s class one/two’s

Wednesdays- Mr Lee’s class 5/6’s

Fridays- Mr Wilson’s class 3/4’s

Thank you very much! This fundraiser will be raising money for our end of year celebration.

Trinity Band!

It was wonderful to have the students from Trinity College Colac come and visit us this week and showcase their amazing musical skills.  Our students loved seeing and hearing the different instruments as they sang and danced along with the variety of tunes. 

Alvie House Cross Country

Congratulations to all our students who competed in the very first Alvie House Cross Country. And congratulations to Lake Corangamite for taking out the championship cup. It was great to see students using their Grit and determination to push themselves across the finish line. It was also heartwarming to see students encouraging and lifting each other as they finished a lap. What a wonderful community we have here at Alvie Primary School.
