ART
Our students have been busy creating vibrant St Patrick’s Day artwork across the school.
Our P–2 children explored the colours of the rainbow, carefully practising their cutting skills as they crafted a bright arc leading to a pot filled with something special they would love to find at the end. Their ideas were as imaginative as they were joyful.
Our Year 3–4 students experimented with contrast and smudging techniques using chalk. They created striking silhouette artworks featuring four‑leaf clovers, learning how light and shadow can bring a simple shape to life.
The Year 5–6s took a deeper dive into Celtic art traditions, analysing the patterns and techniques used in classic Celtic knots. They then designed their own intricate knotwork, applying symmetry, repetition, and creative problem solving to bring their patterns together.
It has been a wonderful celebration of creativity, culture, and a little St Patrick’s Day magic across all year levels
