From the Principal

Dear families,

Last week I sent out invitations to the families who have enrolled their children in Prep for 2027 to book in a time for an Enrolment Interview. Currently our numbers are looking strong, and we are hopeful to progress with a couple of Prep classes. Let's see how the enrolment process goes, but this is very exciting for our school. I once again ask those families who have children starting Prep in 2027 to get their paperwork in before the end of Term 1.

This week we celebrate Harmony Week. A wonderful oppurutnity to celebrate the differences that make us so special. I am excited to announce we have engaged with Cultural Infusion who will work with us around NAIDOC Week to provide the students with an Incursion themed around Aboriginal Culture and Storytelling.

Please note that I will be away from school at the Victorian Catholic Principal's Conference next week. Ms Danielle George will be Acting Principal in my absence.

Just a note for families, the last day of Term 1 for students is Tuesday, 31st of March. Term 2 will begin on Monday, 20th of April.

Year 6 Jumpers:

Year 6 Jumpers have been shipped after a delay and are on the way. We hope to have them by the end of the term. Just in time for the winter months. Thanks to Vanessa (Alessia's mum) for organising this on our behalf.

Sibling Enrolments for 2027:

Sibling enrolments are due by the end of Term 1, 2026. I please urge all families who have a child starting Prep in 2027 to complete the paperwork as soon as possible. These numbers are vital as we plan class structures for next year.

School Athletics Carnival:

Our School Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday, 27th of March. Students will catch the bus from school to King's Park in Upper Ferntree Gully. More details about the day are listed on the NForma Portal where approvals can be made.

Harmony Week:

The BTN (Behind the News) video below is a few years old, but gives a great example of what Harmony Week is, and why we celebrate it.

School Photo Day:

I have had a few questions about school photo day. Our school photo day this year is Thursday 30th of April. On this day all students are expected to wear their STM Sports uniform. I would also ask that students wear the fleece zip up, rather than the red jumper. Just a reminder that the sports uniform requires white socks.
