Term 3

Welcome to Term 3. It has been a busy start to term, and one that has provided time for the community to come together and celebrate our school and students together.

Thank you to our Public Education Week Organising Committee for a wonderful Open Day yesterday. It was lovely to see so many families in the playground enjoying a picnic, our assembly was overflowing with visitors and our classrooms were filled! To share the work our students and staff engage in everyday with our community is always a pleasure.

Thank you to Mr McLeod for the organisation of Book Fair. Book Fair is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of literature across the school and the community. Book Fair sales do give back to PPS, with the school earning credit with Schoolastic to purchase books for the library. Thank you to all the students, parents and carers for supporting the Book Fair.

ySafe

Our students were highly engaged in the ySafe workshops earlier this term, with several parents and carers joining our evening online information session.

If you have any feedback you would like to share with the ySafe Team, a link to an anonymous survey can be accessed below.

The PPS Online Safety Hub is developed and maintained by ySafe for our school and community. It is informative and helpful for parents/carers. You can access the hub through our school newsletter. Save it as a FAVOURITE!

Kindergarten Enrolments 2027

We are currently finalising enrolments for Kindergarten 2027 and are excited to begin preparations for our Kindergarten Transition Program, which will start in October. This program aims to help new students and their families feel comfortable and confident as they start their school journey.

If your child will be starting Kindergarten in 2027, please make sure their enrolment is completed as soon as possible. Early enrolment allows your child to participate in our Transition Program and ensures a smooth start to their school experience.

If you have any questions about the enrolment process or the Transition Program, please contact the school office for assistance. We look forward to welcoming our newest students and families to our school community.

Uniforms

We have noticed an increase in students wearing items that are not part of the school uniform. Our school takes great pride in representing our community, and this includes maintaining our students’ appearance in line with the uniform policy.

To support families, our P&C Second Hand Uniform Shop offers a fantastic selection of affordable school uniform items.

Please also remember to label jackets, jumpers, and hats, as many unmarked items end up in Lost Property and cannot be returned to their owners.

If your family is experiencing financial difficulties, please don’t hesitate to contact the school, we are here to support you.
