Sport Update

Sporting Schools Victoria Cricket - Harvey M

We would like to congratulate Harvey M (6C), for being selected into the Sporting Schools Victoria State U12 Cricket team as a first emergency. Such a great achievement, well done Harvey. 

Summer Lightning Premiership

On Tuesday 25th August, we had over 70 Year 5/6 and students participate in Summer Lightning Premiership. Students had the option to play either Tennis, Cricket, Basketball or Volleyball. All teams had a great day and were very lucky the rain held off for Tennis and Cricket! We had some wins, some losses and some really close games across the board. 

Congratulations to the Clyde 1 Boys/Mixed basketball team, which where Champions on the day and will progress onto Division Basketball at the start of Term 4. 

Senior (5/6) Hooptime

On Wednesday 26th August, we had 8 teams from Years 5/6 compete at Hooptime at Casey Stadium. It was a great day to play basketball, have fun, practise their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship! There were some great games, wins, losses, and we had 3 teams make the Semi finals, which was awesome! Big congratulations to the All Star Boys team for winning the Grand Final and will progress to Regionals in Term 4. 

Thank you to all our parent helpers who looked after teams or scored, and to the parents/carers that came to cheer on the teams, thank you. 

District Athletics

On 1st September, we had 42 students venture to Edwin Flack Reserve Athletics Track in Berwick to compete in District Athletics. Thank goodness we had much better weather for our make up day for the event!

We had some amazing results! To start off with, Clyde Primary School came 2nd overall for the day out of 8 schools in our District which is a fabulous achievement. Well done to all our competitors. 

We have 22 students that will progress through to Division after coming either 1st or 2nd in their event. We also have 3 relay teams heading to Division too. This is a record for Clyde Primary school, so well done to you all.
