A huge congratulations to our Grade 5/6 softball teams for their fantastic efforts at the recent Macedon Ranges Interschool Softball Carnival! Both teams showed incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the day. A special shout-out goes to the boys' team, who battled hard and finished as runners-up — a fantastic achievement! Well done to all players for representing our school with pride. You should be very proud of your efforts on and off the field!

AFLW Stars Visit Our Grade 2s!

Our Grade 2 students had an unforgettable morning last week when we were visited by a very special guest, an AFLW player from the Essendon Football Club!

Fresh off completing our AFL unit in PE, the timing couldn’t have been better. The students were buzzing with excitement as they gathered for a Q&A session, where they asked thoughtful questions about what it’s like to play footy at the elite level, the importance of teamwork, and how to stay active and healthy.

Afterwards, everyone headed out to the oval for a kick-to-kick session. There were smiles all around as the students showed off the skills they’d been practising during PE, and our special guest joined in with plenty of encouragement and a few handy tips!

It was a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to connect what they’ve been doing in class with real-life inspiration from a professional athlete. A huge thank you to our visiting players, Stephanie Cain, Amy Gaylor and Matilda Dyke, and the Essendon Football Club for making the day so memorable!
