Tough Guy Book Club & Family Trivia Night

We have two fantastic evenings for students and families this August as part of our Beda Reada Book Weeks Festival.

Family Trivia Night - Tuesday 25 August

Following the resounding success of Book Week last year at St Bede’s College, this year’s celebration will be bigger and better than ever! As part of our newly minted Beda Reada Festival, we are pleased to invite everyone to a Family Trivia Night, a super fun event for all ages (young siblings and grandparents also welcome), with huge prizes to be won, starting with a $200 book voucher for 1st place.

The evening will be a fun celebration of reading, knowledge and some pop culture.

Hosted by a professional quiz master, families are invited to bring their dinner, take part in some friendly competition and peruse our Book Stall to raise funds for First Nations communities.

St Bede’s College Tough Guy Book Club - Monday 31 August, 7pm

We are pleased to invite our Years 10 to 12 students and a significant male of his choosing to participate in a meeting of the Tough Guy Book Club, with our own St Bede’s College chapter.

This evening is a welcome opportunity for our Senior Years students to connect with their peers and role models to read and discuss a novella. Through this, we can foster a growing community of students reading for enjoyment and socialisation. As young people are influenced by the adults around them, the positive impact of males who read has vast potential.

Beda Reada Festival Program

Bentleigh East Campus & Mentone Campus

Over two glorious weeks, our libraries will transform for the Beda Reada Festival—our biggest celebration of books, reading and friendly competition.

Every event students participate in during the festival will earn points for their House in the race for the Beda Reada Shield.

That means every quiz entered, every activity completed, every challenge taken on and every workshop attended could be the difference between winning or watching someone else celebrate! Think of it as the finals series. Every point matters.
