Principal's Report
It is hard to believe we are nearly halfway through Term 3! It has been another busy and rewarding fortnight at Millwarra, with our students continuing to shine both in and out of the classroom. As always, I am incredibly proud of the way our students, staff and families work together to create such a positive and supportive school community.
UYSC Production – Alice in Wonderland
A big thank you to the Upper Yarra Secondary College students and staff for inviting our Year 5 and 6 students to attend their production of Alice @ Wonderland on Wednesday helping students build connections and supporting a smooth transition.
The performance was outstanding, and our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was wonderful to see the confidence, talent and creativity of the performers on display. Thank you for making us feel so welcome—we're already looking forward to the next opportunity to visit.
A Wonderful Night for Our School Community
What a fantastic evening our Trivia Night was! It was wonderful to see so many members of our school and local community come together for a fun night while supporting our school.
A huge thank you to our incredible Fundraising Committee for making the event possible. A special mention to Jodie for leading the organisation of the night, Alaina for all of her support behind the scenes and on the night, and Mandy, who did a fantastic job as our MC and kept everyone entertained.
Thank you also to our generous local sponsors and everyone who came along to support the event. Your generosity and commitment to our school are truly appreciated. We've recognised our sponsors on our Facebook page, and we encourage our community to support the businesses that continue to support our school.
It is through the support of our volunteers, sponsors and school community that we can continue to provide wonderful opportunities for our students. Thank you for helping make our school such a special place.
Special Person’s Day and Book Week
Later this term, we look forward to celebrating Special Person's Day at both campuses. This special event will coincide with Book Week, with students invited to come dressed as their favourite book character. We can't wait to welcome the special people in our students' lives to join us for a fun afternoon of activities and celebration.
Book Fair
We're excited for our annual Book Fair, which will be held at the Millgrove Campus from Wednesday 26 August to Tuesday 1 September.
All students will have the opportunity to browse the Book Fair and purchase books. Parents and carers are also warmly invited to visit the fair with their children.
Warburton East students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair at some stage throughout the week to browse the books. They can choose to purchase books during their visit or return with a parent or carer at another time.

School Tours
We continue to welcome enrolment enquiries from families looking for a caring, supportive and engaging learning environment for their child.
School tours are available throughout the year at both campuses, giving families the opportunity to see our classrooms in action, explore our learning programs and meet our wonderful staff. If you know of anyone considering their schooling options, we'd love you to encourage them to get in touch with our office to arrange a tour or find out more about what Millwarra has to offer.
