Dear Families,
As we head into the Easter break, our staff and students are more than ready for a well‑earned rest after a busy and rewarding term. The energy and commitment shown across our school community has been greatly appreciated. I extend my thanks to our dedicated staff for their hard work and to our families for their ongoing support, encouragement, and contributions. Together, you help make our school such a caring and nurturing place for our students to learn and grow.
Family engagement has increased significantly this year already and it is very much appreciated. Volunteers have assisted on our sports day, Harmony Day and in the canteen along with parents and friends joining us for Masses, assemblies and celebrations. I look forward to this continuing over the course of the year, we love having families at school and supporting us.
As well as our Holy Week and Stations of the Cross Liturgy, as detailed on the Religious Education page, we ran our Annual Easter Raffle this week. I remain in awe of the generosity of our families, times are tough for many and the cost of living could have meant less tickets sold and fewer donations. This certainly wasn't the case! We had to upgrade our raffle ticket barrel and still had 127 prizes to draw. Thank you to those of you who helped in whichever way you could.
Enhancing Catholic Identity Survey
You will have received email invitations over the last few weeks to participate in the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Survey. The purpose of this is to assist us in better understanding how our Catholic Identity is expressed in work and practice here at St Therese's. Thank you to those families who have already completed the survey, your time is much appreciated.
If you have not yet completed the survey, I would appreciate it if as many parents as possible can do so. The survey is only available through the project website and can only be completed online. Please refer to the attached Survey Instructions for Parents which provides login details and instructions. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Enrolments 2027
Believe it or not, our enrolments for 2027 are now open. If you have a little person due to start school next year, our enrolment packs are ready. If you have friends or family members looking for a primary school, please encourage them to come and visit us. Whilst our open day has been and gone, families are most welcome to book a tour with me.
Canteen
Our upgrades are almost complete and Mrs Beshara is looking forward to moving out of the hall kitchen back into the canteen. Lunch orders are proving extremely popular at the moment and we are now reaching out to ask for some assistance. If any of you would be interested in volunteering to help out on a Monday or Wednesday, please complete the Google Form here. Please note, all volunteers are required to complete our Volunteer Induction process. This is currently under review and we are aiming to make it easier for you!
I wish you all a safe and blessed Easter however you choose to celebrate with your families. We look forward to welcoming the students back on Tuesday 21st April, all ready for another busy term of learning. We will be starting the term with Alleluia Day, celebrating in our family groups.
Kind Regards,
Felicity Broughton
