Heat Packs and Medication at School

To support student wellbeing, students who require a heat pack are requested to bring their own from home. Using personal heat packs helps maintain better hygiene and ensures that each student has access to their own clean item when needed. Mrs Lo Sordo in First Aid can assist by warming the heat pack in the microwave if required.

If your child requires over the counter medication on an “as-needed” basis during the school day (e.g. paracetamol, ibuprofen or hay fever medication), parents or guardians need to complete a Medication Authority Form (see attachment below).  This form is NOT to be used for Anaphylaxis, Asthma or emergency epilepsy medicine.

Please ensure the medication remains in its original packaging with the expiry date clearly visible and place it in a sealed snap-lock plastic bag labelled with the student’s full name.
