Acting Principal

As we come to the end of another busy and successful term, I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge some recent highlights from across our College community. 

Our Year 8 Retreat Days provided a valuable opportunity for students to step away from their usual routines, strengthen relationships, and reflect on their personal growth and faith journey. My sincere thanks go to Mr Marsh for his leadership of these days, as well as the many staff members who generously gave their time to support and attend.  

Congratulations also to our SATIS and SSATIS swimming teams, who represented MacKillop Catholic College with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship. A special congratulations goes to Alex Stephens, who delivered an exceptional performance by breaking both the SSATIS and SATIS Boys Under 16 records in all four individual strokes: Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Alex’s dedication and hard work. We also celebrate the outstanding success of our Under 16 Boys Swim Team, who were crowned winners of the U16 Boys Pennant, recognising the depth of talent and teamwork within the squad. 

We also celebrate a significant milestone for our Year 9/10 Boys AFL team, who have qualified for the Hawks Cup Grand Final for just the second time in the College’s history. The team will take on St Patrick’s College next Wednesday, and we wish them every success as they represent MacKillop on the big stage. 

As the term draws to a close, I would like to thank our students, staff, and families for their ongoing support and contributions to College life. I wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break. When we return for Term 4, we will begin a special time as we prepare to farewell our Year 12 students and celebrate their many contributions to the life of our College.
