Family and Friends are warmly invited to attend Mass

Friday 18th June @ 9:15 am - Year 4 & Stage 3

This Friday (11/06/2021) we celebrate the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This feast day follows the Second Sunday after Pentecost  which brings to mind all the attributes of His Divine Heart. Jesus promised that, in response to those who consecrate themselves and make reparations to His Sacred Heart, that: He will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life. He will establish peace in their homes. He will comfort them in all their afflictions. He will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.

First Holy Communion

This year the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday, 22nd August at 12pm at St Anne’s Church Bondi Beach.

To prepare for the Sacrament we will have a program of instruction which will run for five weeks consecutively. It will be necessary for the parent/guardian to attend together with their child for the full five weeks.

The five preparation sessions will be held on:

  1. Wednesday 14th July,
  2. Wednesday 21st July,
  3. Wednesday 28th July,
  4. Wednesday 4th August, and
  5. Wednesday 11th August

All sessions will start at 6:30pm in St Anne’s Parish Hall (Oakley Road entrance).

Please note that to receive First Holy Communion a child must be baptised, have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Catholic Church and be in Year 3 or above.

The cost of the program is $35. This is to cover the cost of the workbooks, certificates, and medals for the children.

Please note that the dress code for the ceremony is as follows: Girls: White dress, a veil (gloves optional) and dress shoes, Boys: Jacket, tie, long trousers and dress shoes.

If you would like to register your child for First Holy Communion, please email the Parish Office at: admin@bondicatholic.org.au to obtain an enrolment pack. Please note: The enrolment deadline has been extended until the 10th of June.

Everyday at noon, the students pray the Angelus

The Angelus reminds us of Mary’s YES when the Angel Gabriel visited her and passed on God’s message, asking Mary to be the mother of His son, Jesus. The Angelus directs us to Jesus’ life, his passion, the cross and looks forward to the resurrection.

Pope Francis Service Hours

Fr Robbie would like to see the Pope Francis students attend mass every weekend therefore, it would be great if you could please attend and say hello to Fr Robbie. Also, Fr Robbie has organised a music director for the students to be a part of the parish choir. I will inform you as soon as we organise this with Fr Robbie and the music director.
